When networking, I was sick of writing my business name and domain name on a piece of paper. I decided that it was time to have professional business cards, so I went to VistaPrint.com to place my order for Vistaprint Business Cards.
I took my time looking at all of the designs on the website. It took me about 45 minutes to choose my favorite design and customize it to my liking. I ordered two-sided glossy business cards that featured a full-color design. I didn’t want my cards to be boring.
The VistaPrint business cards ordering process was very simple. All you need to do is pick out a design that you like and customize the information such as your name, company name, and job title. To make changes, all you need to do is drag and drop information and change fonts. If you feel comfortable using MS PowerPoint, you will be able to order from VistaPrint.
I was satisfied with most of the ordering process. My only complaint is that their pricing can be tricky. All of the items are advertised at a cheap price, but there are extras such as shopping charges. A 21 day standard shipping charge is $7.50 and $15.00 for 3 day shipping. Shipping is still more affordable than shipping and delivery charges from local printers, so I really can’t complain.
When I went to check out, I was given the option to order more business cards at an affordable rate. I paid $4.50 for 500 additional cards. My grand total for 1,500 business cards with heavy duty gloss card stock and full color printing was $51.46 delivered to my door. I was very happy with that price.
After ordering, I started to receive a lot of emails from VistaPrint. They attempted to sell me more items that I didn’t need. I was so annoyed by the amount of emails, that I had to use their unsubscribe function. It worried me that they were so aggressive with their selling.
About a week went by and I received my cards. While my cards felt nice, I was disappointed with one very noticeable problem. Part of the black in my logo and the text were different shades of black. You can clearly see the color difference when looking at the cards. When ordering, my screen view did not make this noticeable. I feel that this color difference ruined my cards.
I plan to reach out to VistaPrint to have the cards reprinted. I am curious as to see how their customer service is and if they will be able to reprint based on the look of the cards on the proofing screen. I’m not sure that I will order from this company again, as the high shipping costs, email spam, and color difference don’t make me feel very confident.
I’m sure many people have ordered Vistaprint free business cards, but I would be interested to hear about other online printing companies. Please feel free to share your experience with me in the below comments.
